Acceptable Use and Safety Policy

How we keep TeamALA safe, especially for younger members.

  • Version 1.0
  • Effective October 15, 2026
  • For: Everyone who uses TeamALA

Our safety rules in short

  • No harassment, stalking or doxxing. Never use a TeamALA tool to bully, stalk or brigade someone, or to find out who they are in real life.
  • Screening is only for your own community's vetting. Look up people who are applying or waiting to join your community. No curiosity lookups, and never post screening notes publicly to shame or attack anyone.
  • No harmful links, phishing forms or illegal files. No malware or phishing short links, no forms that ask for passwords, no illegal uploads.
  • Zero tolerance for child exploitation and non-consensual intimate images. We block and report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC, and we remove non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours.

The numbered sections below are the full policy.

Core rules: no harassment, stalking or doxxing

This applies to every user, Screening Officer, Manager, Community Owner and visitor on every TeamALA service. You may never use TeamALA to:

  • harass, bully, intimidate, brigade or stalk any person or community;
  • try to find out a member's or applicant's real-world identity (legal name, home address, phone number, school, workplace or family) or link their Roblox or Discord accounts to offline personal details ("doxxing"); or
  • pretend to be another person, community, partner initiative or TeamALA staff member.

Using the Screening Portal

  1. Your own community's vetting only. Screening Officers may only look up accounts that have applied, queued or asked to join their own community.
  2. No curiosity lookups and no public shaming. Looking someone up out of curiosity, checking members of a rival group or settling a personal argument is not allowed. Officers may copy case notes to their clipboard for private moderation records. Posting screening results or partner records in public Discord channels or on social media to call someone out, shame or harass them leads to immediate suspension of the officer and the community.
  3. No scraping. Do not use bots, scripts or browser automation to query screening.teamala.org or to bulk-collect partner records.

Short links, forms and shared content

  1. Short links. No links to phishing pages, credential harvesters, malware, IP grabbers, raw IP addresses, internal network hosts, lookalike domains or sexually explicit sites.
  2. Forms. Forms must never ask for passwords, sign-in tokens, payment card numbers or government IDs, and should not ask minors for their real name, phone number or home address.
  3. Documents, spreadsheets and files. Do not store or share malware, pirated content, hate speech, threats of violence, terrorist content or anything else unlawful in the U.S., UK or EU. Uploaded files are held in quarantine until they have been scanned for malware and known child-abuse image hashes.

Child safety and intimate-image abuse

  1. Child sexual abuse material (18 U.S.C. § 2258A and the REPORT Act). TeamALA prohibits child sexual abuse material (CSAM), online enticement of minors and child sex trafficking. When we learn of apparent CSAM or child exploitation on our systems, we disable the content straight away, suspend the accounts involved, report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and keep the report and evidence for one year, secured in line with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
  2. Non-consensual intimate images (TAKE IT DOWN Act). Sharing real or computer-generated (deepfake) intimate images of someone without their consent is prohibited. The person pictured, or someone authorised to act for them, can send a removal request through the Report and Rights page. After a valid request we remove the image and any known identical copies within 48 hours.

Reporting a security problem (safe harbor)

We welcome good-faith security research. If you find a security or privacy vulnerability in any TeamALA property, please tell us privately at security@teamala.org.

  • The rules: do not view, change or copy other people's or communities' data; do not run denial-of-service, spam or social-engineering attacks; and give us reasonable time to fix the problem before you talk about it publicly.
  • Our promise: if you follow these rules in good faith, TeamALA Ltd Liability Co. authorises your testing and will not bring a legal claim or law-enforcement referral against you under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, DMCA § 1201 or similar laws.

Enforcement and complaints

Breaking this policy can lead to removal of links, forms or content, loss of Screening Officer permissions, account termination, or suspension of a whole community workspace. Anyone can report illegal content or a policy violation on the Report and Rights page. When we remove content or restrict access, we give a clear statement of reasons and a way to appeal, through support@teamala.org or the report page, as the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act require.
