Terms of Service
The rules for using TeamALA, in plain words first and legal words after.
- Version 1.0
- Effective October 16, 2026
- For: Everyone who signs in or uses TeamALA
The short version
- You need to be 13 or older to sign in. If you onboard a community, request early access or act as a Screening Officer, you need to be 18 or older.
- What we do: we build web tools for Roblox and Discord communities, such as short links, forms, bot dashboards, shared workspaces and a screening portal that helps communities check public safety records before letting new people in.
- If a community screened you, you are not bound by these Terms. Being looked up does not make you a TeamALA user. You still have rights, including asking whether you were screened and objecting. See the Privacy Notice and the Report and Rights page.
- Findings, not verdicts. Screening shows sourced evidence and never a "safe" or "unsafe" score. People on the community's staff, not TeamALA, decide who joins.
- We are independent. TeamALA is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc.
This summary is here to help you. The numbered sections below are the binding contract.
Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") cover your use of the websites, subdomains, APIs, bots and web tools run by TeamALA Ltd Liability Co., a Wyoming limited liability company ("TeamALA", "we", "us"). They apply to teamala.org, screening.teamala.org, go.teamala.org, onboarding.teamala.org, manage.teamala.org, admin.teamala.org, api.teamala.org, form.teamala.org, cdn.teamala.org, our community bot, and the document, spreadsheet and file tools we are adding (together, the "Services").
By signing in, submitting a form while signed in, or clicking to accept, you agree to these Terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy. If we make a material change, we update the version number and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
If you were screened but never signed up
Communities use TeamALA to check people who want to join them. Being screened does not create a TeamALA account and does not mean you agreed to these Terms. Nothing here takes away or limits the privacy rights of people whose public or partner data is looked up through the Services.
If you think a community screened your Roblox or Discord account, read section 2 of the Privacy Notice to see how screening works, then ask or object on the Report and Rights page.
Who can use TeamALA
- Minimum age: 13. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if that is higher) to sign in or use the Services as a member, manager or signed-in form respondent. At your first sign-in you answer a neutral year-and-month question. If you are under 13 you may not use the Services, and we create no account and store nothing about you.
- Adults only (18+) for some roles. You must be at least 18 to request early access, to onboard a community, accept the Community Agreement or be a Community Owner, and to act as a Screening Officer who can look people up on
screening.teamala.org. - Ages 13 to 17. If you are 13 to 17, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms for you, and that an adult Community Owner (18+) has authorised your access and takes supervisory responsibility for your activity in that community's workspace.
Accounts and signing in
- Sign in with Roblox or Discord. User accounts use official OAuth 2.0 sign-in through your existing Roblox or Discord account, not an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping those accounts secure.
- No affiliation. TeamALA is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc. Your use of Roblox and Discord stays under their own terms and policies.
- Deleting your account. You can delete your account any time at
teamala.org/accountby signing in again to confirm. We refuse deletion while you are the only Owner of an active community; transfer ownership or delete the community first.
Screening: findings, not verdicts
- An evidence list, nothing more. The Screening Portal (
screening.teamala.org) reads public Roblox and Discord interfaces and independent partner registries live, in memory. It streams a sourced evidence list to the officer's browser and stores none of the case file on our servers. - No scores and no automatic decisions. TeamALA never calculates a safety score, never labels an account "safe" or "unsafe", and never changes anyone's Discord roles or group membership by itself. Every check is marked observed, not observed, not checked or unavailable, with its source and time. People decide outcomes in Discord.
- Third-party data and 47 U.S.C. § 230. We do not control, verify or guarantee the records returned by Roblox, Discord, account-linking services (such as RoVer or Bloxlink) or our safety-data partner Okappiki. They can contain errors or reflect different moderation standards. Under 47 U.S.C. § 230 and other applicable law, TeamALA is not the publisher or speaker of information provided by partner registries or users.
Your content, short links and forms
- Your content stays yours. When you create short links, forms and responses, or workspace documents, spreadsheets, comments and files, you keep whatever ownership you have. You give TeamALA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, scan (for malware and child sexual abuse material) and display that content, only to run and secure the Services.
- Short links. We check short-link destinations against malicious hosts, raw IP addresses, internal network hosts and lookalike domains. TeamALA staff can disable a single short link, or all of a community's links, at any time to stop phishing, malware or abuse.
Early access, suspension and no warranty
- Invite-only and free for now. TeamALA is invite-only and free of charge at the moment. Staff may suspend or delete any community or account at any time for breaking these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect platform security and child safety. Where the law requires it (including the EU Digital Services Act), we tell the affected user or Community Owner why.
No warranty
In plain words: TeamALA is a young service. We work hard on it, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that every record it shows is right.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limit on our liability
Limitation of liability
In plain words: if something goes wrong, what you can claim from us is capped. Where the law does not allow a cap, for example in some agreements with minors or consumers, we are liable only up to the most the law allows.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEAMALA LTD LIABILITY CO., ITS OWNERS AND ITS STAFF ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL OR COMMUNITY ACCESS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR FROM ANY COMMUNITY VETTING DECISION. TEAMALA'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TEAMALA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Legal action under these Terms must be brought in the state courts in Sheridan County, Wyoming or the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming, unless mandatory consumer law in the UK or EU says otherwise.
