Data Protection Complaints Procedure

How to complain about the way we handle your personal information.

  • Version 1.0
  • Effective October 29, 2026
  • For: Everyone, including people who were screened

In short

  • This procedure meets section 164A of the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (in force 19 June 2026), and serves people everywhere.

How to complain

If you are unhappy with how TeamALA handles your personal information, you can tell us:

  • (a) online, with the complaint form at teamala.org/report (choose "Privacy complaint"); or
  • (b) by email, at privacy@teamala.org; or
  • (c) by post, at TeamALA Ltd Liability Co., 30 N Gould St, Suite 70028, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

You do not need an account. Tell us what happened, and how we can reply to you, for example a Discord or Roblox username, or an email address.

What we do

2.1 Acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. We aim for 5 business days.

2.2 Look into it without undue delay. If we need to know which account it is about, we may ask you to sign in, or to place a one-time code in your public profile. We never ask for identity documents.

2.3 Keep you told of our progress.

2.4 Tell you the outcome and what we did, without undue delay. We aim for 30 days. If it will take longer, we tell you why.

2.5 If your complaint is also a request to use one of your rights (for example access or deletion), we answer that request within one month.

If you are still unhappy

You can complain to a data protection authority:

  • (a) in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); or
  • (b) in the European Union or EEA, the authority where you live or work, or where the problem happened.

You can also go to court.

Records

We keep a record of each complaint for 24 months after it is closed:

  • (a) when it arrived;
  • (b) what it was about;
  • (c) what we did;
  • (d) when we acknowledged it and when we replied; and
  • (e) the outcome.

We use these records to improve, and to report to regulators if asked.
