Nora by TeamALA: Bot Information and Privacy

What Nora is
Nora by TeamALA is a Discord bot run by TeamALA Ltd Liability Co. It connects a Discord server to its community on TeamALA. Using it is governed by the TeamALA Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
What Nora reads and keeps
- (a) The server's settings: kept while Nora is in the server.
- (b) Watched roles: who holds the roles that the community's TeamALA rules watch, and changes to them. This is used only to keep TeamALA access in line with the server's own roles, and to fill the community's screening queue. Role changes are kept 30 days; role lists hold only the current state; a member is removed within 24 hours of losing the role or leaving.
- (c) Your direct-message setting: Nora messages you only if you turned this on.
What Nora never does
- (a) It never uses Discord data to build profiles of people, or to make eligibility decisions.
- (b) It never combines data across servers or communities.
- (c) It never sells or shares data.
- (d) It never uses data to train models.
- (e) It never reads direct messages, except messages sent to Nora itself.
Deletion
All data for a server is deleted within 30 days of Nora leaving it. A member can ask us to delete their data at privacy@teamala.org.
Who is responsible
The server's community decides what Nora records, and is responsible for it. TeamALA runs Nora for the community under the Community Agreement.
Nora Legacy
Nora Legacy is an older bot that TeamALA runs until it is retired. See section 5.2 of the Privacy Notice.
